Blogging at Savage Minds

This month I’ve joined a thematized group blog over at Savage Minds, Ethnography on/from the Sidelines. Organized by Deepa Reddy, there are six of us writing about our position in or outside of the academy. I think all of us have contingent positions, are in flux, or are working from the sidelines. My posts are available below. The first two discuss my work at Cultural Anthropology, the most recent highlights my ethnographic work on breathing. Enjoy!

Caring for Our Sidelines (July 6, 2012)

Making Ethnography Work (July 13, 2012)

Ethnography’s Sense (July 20, 2012)

Writing Space for Ethnography (July 27, 2012)

I’ve had a great time doing this month-long group blog. Many thanks to Deepa for organizing and keeping us (or me) on task, to my fellow contributors for rich, thought-provoking discussion, and to Savage Minds, we are so lucky to have you!
